Biography
Katharine S. Edwards, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor of cardiovascular medicine at Stanford, CA where she developed the Cardiac Behavioral Medicine program, offering evidence-based behavioral treatments for cardiac patients to promote medical adherence, recovery, and prevention. Her current research interests include measuring the health impact of behavioral treatments among cardiac patients and treating PTSD resulting from medical traumas.
Dr. Edwards completed her behavioral medicine fellowship at VA Palo Alto, California and then worked as a Health Science Specialist at the National Center for PTSD, Dissemination and Training Division.
She has published in assessment and training journals. She is also a co-author of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for Depressed Veterans Therapist Manual and contributed to the development of VA's ACT Coach mobile app.
