Biography
Dr. Lori Davis is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology, University of Alabama Health System, in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, AL. In addition, she is Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development Service for the VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Dr. Davis received her undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Duke University, earned her MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed a psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Davis designs and conducts clinical trials in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and alcohol use disorders, including psychopharmacology treatments, psychotherapies, mindfulness-based practices, and supported employment called Individual Placement and Support (IPS).
