Description
Clinicians are continually working to find innovative ways to increase awareness about effective PTSD treatments, improve access to PTSD treatment and find ways to keep clients engaged in treatment. AboutFace is an extensive catalog of video interviews of Veterans, clinicians and family members who share PTSD recovery stories. This online gallery provides videos for clinicians and health care teams to help their clients learn about PTSD, explore treatment options, and hear advice from others who have been there.
This course demonstrates AboutFace's approach to capturing intimate, genuine conversations on film. An overview of the site will be provided with examples of ways AboutFace videos may be useful for education, training and clinical care. Additionally, the authors present research findings and future research directions for AboutFace as a treatment engagement intervention.
