Description
Clinicians and patients may be initially resistant to PTSD psychotherapies, despite evidence that they are effective. This course reviews the evidence base and utilization data for PTSD psychotherapies available in Veterans Affairs and defines patient engagement.
The author discusses multiple levels of engagement and recommends strategies for increasing provider and patient engagement with evidence-based psychotherapies.
This course includes videos of the author demonstrating engagement techniques useful for VA and non-VA clinicians.
