Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a broad range of challenges for mental health providers. This course offers information about the mental health toll the pandemic has taken on the public and providers, as well as practical strategies for providers to manage self-care and to support coworkers.
Guidance about how to deal with uncertainty, how to assess current needs and priorities, and how to manage self-care and help coworkers address the cumulative stress created by the pandemic is discussed. The author explains the process of implementing programs designed to support well-being in complex, rapidly changing circumstances, including the use of flexible, tailored approaches to self-care and coworker support that accommodate varying levels of stress that are ongoing.
