Description

This overview course answers essential questions about PTSD and evidence-based treatments. Key focus areas include DSM-5 criteria for PTSD diagnosis, risk factors for developing PTSD and most effective PTSD treatments as recommended by the VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guideline for PTSD (2017).

This interactive course includes video clips of Veterans describing their PTSD symptoms and clinicians explaining first-line treatment approaches, including Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Links to free educational resources for patients and providers are included.
