Locating Mental Health Care

In your role as a clergy member you may have opportunities to point out how seeking help can make a difference in the life of a Service member or Veteran with PTSD. The Making a Referral section of the toolkit provides additional information about how to connect a Service member or Veteran with mental health care services. Additional information below links to services for survivors of non-military traumas.
In an emergency, call 911. Other crisis resources include the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) and the Veterans Crisis Line (988, press 1).
Military OneSource has links to many different treatment options for active duty Service members and their families.
All VA Medical Centers, as well as many VA clinics, provide PTSD care.
To locate services outside of VA, see Finding a Therapist.
