  • Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN) is a national anti-sexual violence organization that operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-4673) and offers a searchable counselor service.
  • Resources for Providers: Responding to Sudden Trauma offers information and links to help first responders and mental health providers reduce distress and offer practical assistance to survivors of disaster and terrorism.

Psychological First Aid

Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an evidence-informed modular approach for assisting people in the immediate aftermath of disaster and terrorism45. There is a training manual for the use of PFA specific to clergy members engaged in post-disaster helping.
