Physical Strategies

While not linked directly to reductions in burnout or secondary traumatic stress (STS), physical activity and other physical strategies have been proven to be important to our overall health and well-being, which can contribute to reduced stress reactions.100,101 Being physically healthy involves learning to breathe in a stress-reducing way, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and good nutrition.
